Pattern: Polypodium vulgare Socks (Polypodium vulgare is a fern)
Designer: Hunter Hammersen
Yarn: Malabrigo Sock
Colorway: Violeta Africana (which makes me think of eggplants)
Needles: 2.25mm
After this photo was taken, I screwed up the pattern and had to tink back three rows. Evidently, Tierra’s drama on the Bachelor was so distracting that I just dropped a stitch.

I’m just about to start a Hunter Hammersen pattern – Ensnared. I find all the designs so interesting it was hard to pick which one to start with. Lovely purple!
I have a hard time picking which pattern to do next also. This time, I followed the KAL.
Pretty color for your socks. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth watching TV and knitting since I end up having to correct mistakes if it’s a difficult pattern. Vanilla socks would be a great project for TV watching.
I feel like 99% of the time, I have no problem, but this time, well, I got them truly fracked and ended up tinking back more like 5 or 6 rows.
I love the sock. The color is amazing. And it does look complicated.
Thanks!
The sock is so pretty. I really like that yarn.
Thank you! :) I enjoy working with Malabrigo sock yarn a lot.
Very pretty! It’s funny how much color influences how I feel about a pattern. When I saw it on Rav in gold–meh. When I see it in pretty purple–hooray!
I agree! and it takes time to figure out which color I like for which pattern. I almost never follow the pattern color. That’s just not me.
Love the color!
Thanks so much! :)
