Katherine the Great
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

So, I was working on this little brown baby sweater and I took some really cool photos of the sweater in progress on my Bouganvilla. I like to think I have a green thumb, but I really don’t, so when my Bouganvilla was really looking great a few days agp, I snapped photos and was excited to share them with you in all their glory today. Also, the pics were perfect because this little item is a gift and I didn’t want to share too much on the blog before the owner got to see it and the flowers covered up good chunks.
Alas, I do not know WHAT happened to my amazing bouganvilla photos! They are gone with the wind. I think I’ll tell myself that the lighting was total shite, so no big loss. But, you my poor blog readers will have to settle for this picture
Bouganvilla
…and my sage advice that when you are sewing snaps onto a sweater, for the love of Bouganvilla, make sure they are facing the right direction so they’ll actually snap. just sayin’.

Back in 2010, I started knitting socks. I never really got the big deal with sock knitting and wasn’t a huge fan of walking on my knitting, but I ran across a little book called Silk Road Socks and quickly became an addict.Silk Road Socks

Over the years, I’ve made a few socks. Here are some of the Hunter Hammersen socks I’ve knit for you to peruse during this lovely month of Socktober.
