As I was casting on for a candy corn dishcloth, I was bothered by the yellow yarn being too orange (far left). I purchased some candy corn for comparison. Yep. Too orange. I bought “Yellow” yarn from Michael’s (middle). Too pale. I ordered Sunshine Sugar’n Cream online (right). It was JUST RIGHT.
Sydney wanted to supervise the color selection.
Ta da! The finished product!
I think it is beyond adorable and I may have to make more. (At least it’s calorie free!)
Here is my inspiration if you’d like to knit one.
Mine raveled here.

So, I’m on a bit of a dishcloth kick right now. It all started with a way for me to knit on the river…and now, I’ve knit a rainbow one.
and a blue dragon scale one.
and next up is a candy corn dishtowel.
Here’s the pattern if you’re in a candy corn mood.
If anyone has advice on how to block cotton perfectly square, I’d love to hear your methods…..otherwise, a-googling I will go.

I’m furiously knitting away on the Dragon’s Breath socks trying to beat a KAL deadline that could spring upon me at any moment. It was an August/September KAL that is being graded on a curve. Don’t judge.
In other news, Hunter Hammersen has a new mini book available for pre-order RIGHT NOW! I test knit the Brigand mitts and the Vandal socks and they are lovely!
If you order the paper version, you get the e-version for free and you get $3 off during pre-order which ends Thursday evening, and you get a coupon for one of her other available individual patterns free. What are you waiting for?
