1. I thought Charlize did a great job which might be because I’m a huge fan.
2. I’m totally over Kristen Stewart. Her “Braveheart” speech failed to impress but she didn’t have a ton to work with.
3. If you are about to jump off a cliff into the surf, you should try to take off some layers so you are not weighed down by your huge dress, petticoats, pants and boots. Write that down.
4. Several scenes were too long. The Sound of Music hike through the mountains scene had me wondering if they were trying to increase soundtrack sales.
4b. I could have used a little more closure on the Snow White/Huntsman relationship if I’m already in the theater for over two hours.
5. The costumes and scenery were AH-MAZING!….but I would have been fine without Mirror Man.
6. A twig of a girl on a fresh rested horse riding bareback would leave huge grown men on war horses with full armor & weapons in the dust.
7. I was disappointed to learn the dwarves were not actual little people. Totally charming, the lot of them.
So, overall, a good flick as long as you’re not expecting Lord of the Rings.

Still not sure if I’m gonna tackle this one.
Kristen Stewart makes me dry heave and I’m not sure I can stomach her.
Blech.
Well, the movie is over two hours, so that’s an awful lot of dry heaving. I have a theory that if you could mute parts of it, that would make it better, so keep that in mind. (edited to add: I noticed the movie was called “epic” pre-release….I now realize that was just code for “too long”)
Fabulous costumes, charming dwarves, and a sound of music-ish moment… I’m in!
I look fwd to your thoughts on it fo sho!
