Katherine the Great
I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

Once upon a Thursday, I was trying to figure out if Sea Cell would be an ok sock yarn component (survey says no) and I was able to welcome an ipad owner that was surfing Ravelry in my LYS to Texas. She just moved here and I can say that I am glad she did….although I think at some point, I might have to find something I can knit with Sea Cell. The idea of knitting with seaweed is just too inviting – weird things hold appeal for me.

Oh, and I fell down and bought yarn. It is Lorna’s Laces Solemate and Cascade Heritage Silk. One day, these hanks will grow up to be lovely socks.

I’ve heard amazing things about Sea Cell, especially when blended with silk. But I’ve never had the chance to knit with it yet (someday!). Love, love, love the new yarn!

Is it wrong for me to assume you’re talking REAL seaweed here?

    I are dumb.

Actually it is made out of a cellulose based fiber made with Seaweed.

Yes, Jenee is right. I posted more info. on the blog so ya’ll can see some pretty examples. No one is dumb here, you’re just not knitters…………….yet. :)
