Playing Mario Kart has made me a worse driver. As I drove to lunch with a friend, I wished for a flashing star so I could be invincible and drive through everything.
Also, we're eating bagels for lunch because throwing rules out windows is my new favorite hobby.
Speaking of hobbies, I started a Constellate Hat in the colorway, African Violets by LolaBean Yarn. The first Constellate took me nineteen months so surely i can beat that!
LOL. @marz1pan thought I was knitting a sock for someone with HUGE calves!
In writing news, I plan to send a short story before mid-December so join my Inner Circle Email List if you need a dopamine hit right about now.

So, I joined the ornament swap hosted by Christina Lowry and I floated that swap to my bloggy friend, Bonnie of Peaceable Liberal, and she geniusly suggested that she and I swap. I was trying to figure out what to make her when I ran across her blog post about these ornaments by Attic 24.
Bonnie doesn’t really crochet so this would be perfect! Here’s my first try. ew….I didn’t even finish one side.
Here’s my second go. eh. This one is fine, but not great.

THEN you know that magic that people make when they create ships in a bottle? Well, Bonnie conjured up Knitting in an Ornament and sent it to me! I love it! I found a spot on my tree where two white lights were together so I could spotlight it….and just so you know, the “needles” are made from toothpicks and little wooden beads. Genius.
She also sent me Hoosier Doot salad dressing and yummy apple butter from Indiana. The Hoosier sauce is so good that I continue to fight the urge to pour some in a shot glass and drink it. No, I’m not kidding.

What would the world be like without apple butter, seriously! I don’t know why you weren’t happy with the second try, when I saw it I was impressed. The third one looks even better! That was such a great idea for a swap.

I haven’t finished mine yet – I just need to assemble it. I was not crazy impressed with the quality of the pattern, but I was able to get a tank slipper out of it in the end (once I sew it up), so…take it with a grain of salt.
Are the slippers sturdy?
