Kelly and I discussed our current works in progress. As I often do, I suggested someone have a dog and she was like “but then you have to feed and water it.”
I responded “and that is why I write paranormal! You just make the dog magical and then it can feed itself!“ LOL

So, I’m not super fashiony. I’m pretty sure the reason I couldn’t get a date to save my life in high school is that I dressed like I might need to be ready to climb a tree at a moment’s notice (this would have been handy if the zombie apocalypse had happened – just sayin’). Now that I’m older and wiser, I really appreciate the people in my life that can help me be in the loop on all things fashion.
Turtle is one of these folks and now Alicia has joined the ranks…and they say that boot cuffs are “in”. Now, you know me, I’ll knit a cowl for a horse if I can stick some cables on it, but Alicia sweetly requested plain, so plain they are….plus, plain = classic, right?
You’ll note that I’m only taking pictures of one boot cuff. That’s ’cause I took these myself. You’ll have to take my word for the fact that there is a pair….and that they look exactly the same.
…and that taking a picture of a boot cuff on your own foot is even more interesting than taking pictures of socks on your own feet. I could have asked The Husband to take the pics, but where’s the fun in that?

Join to work in the round
Knit 2 purl 2 ribbing for 5 and a half inches.
Super-stretchy bind off.

Thanks! I was surprised how much “flare” they add with not a ton of knitting.
I need to ask DD if she wants a pair. To which she will turn up her nose. But if someone else suggested it, she’d be right on it! Love them!!

So these are just cuffs, and not actual socks?? I guess I’m out of the loop too.
Yes, they are just like the top part of a sock cuff to go up around your calf. The interesting thing is that if you want to wear boots on your bare legs like with a dress/skirt, these will keep them from rubbing a place on your leg (especially new boots) in case your socks are too short….which is a problem. ask me how I know.
I am so not fashionable, still. But I love your boot cuffs, they are great! Also, excellent photography, that stuff is hard!

Thanks for visiting my blog and for the tip! The boot cuff trend hasn’t made it’s way to Southern California yet so this is the first I’ve heard of them. (Of course, we don’t have much…any…boot weather here!)
I live in Texas, so even when it is hot out, I could wear cowboy boots. I think I’ll consider making myself some cotton boot cuffs. Thanks for the inspiration!

I made a pair for my oldest for Christmas (crochet, not knit) – she seemed to love them :) I do think they are “in”

Love these cuffs. I’ve been thinking about making some but I rarely tuck my jeans in. I agree, we must be prepared for the zombie alpacalypse ;-) I had a dream last night that it had started and the first thing I grabbed was my jeans and Ariats.
