I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

So, I’m on a bit of a dishcloth kick right now. It all started with a way for me to knit on the river…and now, I’ve knit a rainbow one.

and a blue dragon scale one.

and next up is a candy corn dishtowel.

Here’s the pattern if you’re in a candy corn mood.

If anyone has advice on how to block cotton perfectly square, I’d love to hear your methods…..otherwise, a-googling I will go.

Mine never come out perfectly square. I’m trying to convince myself it’s a design element.

I paired up the dishcloths with other dishcloths of the same size for the charity auction. None of them are exactly square, but them being the same size allows me to sleep at night.

Perfection. And I gotta see the candy corn one.

Only YOU would come up with that and it’s brilliant!

    • Katie says:

I didn’t come up with it. Like all really brilliant ideas, I was inspired by someone else, but I love that you think I could have.

    Those are awesome!!

Nice dishcloths! I love a practical, useful project. Mine are never quite square either. If you learn a good trick for that, please share it.

I ended up just stretching them out while wet enough to suit me and then let them dry. Next time, I may try the steam iron approach.
