I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

So, I seem to have gotten sucked into checking out all kinds of Sea Cell projects on ravelry and more of the lovely ravelers were kind enough to let me share more pics!

Is there a Sea Cell anonymous meeting somewhere I can attend?

See what I mean? Gorgeous!

I took The Husband’s plain black socks (and TH) to see Brave in 3D at 9:45am at the Alamo Drafthouse….TH’s idea to minimize the crowd and it was a great call.
Brave
The story is strong, the film is gorgeous and has a beautiful soundtrack. I suspect it will take its place beside Steel Magnolias as a timeless classic about the complexity that is the mother-daughter relationship. Overall, excellent!
Ps. Get there early if you go to Alamo because the Pixar shorts are icing on the cake.

“Seaweed yarn” contains Sea Cell which is a cellulose based fiber made from seaweed according to Handmaiden’s web site. Their yarn is what I was drooling over at my LYS. It seems very shiney and soft and totally luxurious (Sea Cell seems most often paired with silk). What it is not is long-wearing (which is what I need for socks). On ravelry, I found some gorgeous Sea Silk / Sea Sock projects. Observe.
