I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

I seem to have dropped one of the Joshaqan socks behind the dryer while it was hanging around waiting to be washed. Turns out I really need to dust behind my dryer. I fished it out.

ew.

How am I going to get the lint off this sock?

Hmmm. I guess I’ll try my 3M lint roller.

Hopefully that will get most of it off.

sigh.

It’s a Miracle! Good as new and it hasn’t even been washed yet! WINNING!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I figured out why the PCD are in their 20’s and not mid-30’s and it isn’t for the reasons you might think. The dance moves are harsh. You move your knees and hips and back in all different directions really quickly and by George, there were times, I nearly popped things out of place! Don’t get me wrong, I sweated and got a good workout, but was glad I rented the video because I wouldn’t do it a second time. Not great risk (breaking my spine) versus reward (decent workout). I believe I’ll just do some yoga…..and in case you were wondering, I don’t recommend these moves for a club. They look fairly stupid unless you’ve got 4 other people around you doing the exact same moves.

irony for the day: while blogging this, I managed to bang the snot out of my knee on my desk. I think not doing the video again is the right call.

updated to add: um, my friend, G fell out of a yoga pose recently and severely bruised her shnoz! Poor thing looks like someone took a bat to her. Be safe out there, people!!! :-)

Since I finished the Mashad socks (pattern by Hunter Hammersen) last summer and wore them in August in Texas on my feet inside shoes during a record draught when it was a billion degrees outside, I know they are rather warm. So, when it was time to pack socks for Colorado, they were the first pair that came to mind.

This pair of socks had a little bit of a rough start, but once I found a yarn I was happy with (Barking Dogs Achilles in Teal Mist), they were completely charming. So, pick out some pretty semi-solid yarn and knit up a pair. I think you’ll be smitten!

Ps. Hunter’s latest book is coming out, so don’t forget to pre-order….otherwise, when I start knitting the socks from the new book, you’ll be pea green with envy!
