I like to think of myself as a storyteller. Mostly I tell stories about knitting.

Behold, the turtle sweater on sweet Baby C. You can tell from his smile that he already has the appropriate level of appreciation for hand knits.

mini-Turtle

I could not be more thrilled that it fits. Clearly, he’s the perfect size.

tip: Choose the garter border if you want buttonholes OR you can sew buttons on and sew snaps on behind the buttons.

So, I was working on this little brown baby sweater and I took some really cool photos of the sweater in progress on my Bouganvilla. I like to think I have a green thumb, but I really don’t, so when my Bouganvilla was really looking great a few days agp, I snapped photos and was excited to share them with you in all their glory today. Also, the pics were perfect because this little item is a gift and I didn’t want to share too much on the blog before the owner got to see it and the flowers covered up good chunks.
Alas, I do not know WHAT happened to my amazing bouganvilla photos! They are gone with the wind. I think I’ll tell myself that the lighting was total shite, so no big loss. But, you my poor blog readers will have to settle for this picture

…and my sage advice that when you are sewing snaps onto a sweater, for the love of Bouganvilla, make sure they are facing the right direction so they’ll actually snap. just sayin’.
